Who we are

Established in Ocala, Fl. 2025, Power Generation Institute was founded to bring high quality instruction and training to the Power Generation Industry.

At PGI, we are committed to helping students recognize new possibilities for their future. Our training is designed to equip individuals with practical skills that lead to real career opportunities and long-term stability in the power generation industry.

We also recognize that growth extends beyond the workplace. By fostering strong relationships and leading by example, we strive to create an environment that supports growth beyond technical ability — encouraging personal development, character, and reflection grounded in our Christian values.

Titus 2:7-8 (NLT)

7 And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. 8 Teach the truth so that your teaching can’t be criticized. Then those who oppose us will be ashamed and have nothing bad to say about us.

Greg Linton - CEO

Greg has spent much of his career working on the parts, sales, marketing and business development side of the industry and has owned companies serving and supporting the power generation industry.

The experience and strengths Greg brings to PGI are oriented around the “soft skills”. The skills that are often not dealt with in formal training programs, yet everyone is expected to possess.

Greg is passionate about the industry, about bringing new people into the industry, about partnering with dealers and distributors to fulfill technical job openings and about sharing the opportunity for a life changing career with every student.

Jason Tarlton - Director of Training

Jason is a former U.S. Navy Aviation Structural Mechanic (Safety Equipment) with six years of hands-on experience maintaining complex aircraft mechanical and emergency systems.

For the past six years, Jason has led warehouse operations, where he’s been responsible for training teams, enforcing safety standards, conducting evaluations, and developing teammates.

Jason’s background is rooted in hands-on work and safety-driven environments. He uses that experience to teach generator operation and emergency power systems in a practical, easy-to-understand way that prepares students for real field conditions.
