Start your career in power generation

Practical, hands-on training that prepares beginners for real fieldwork

At PGI, we transform motivated individuals into job-ready Generator Service Technicians. Our program combines classroom instruction with hands-on practice on live equipment so you graduate with the technical skills, field experience, and professional habits employers demand.

No prior experience is required — just bring a willingness to learn and we’ll provide the rest.

Our instructors are industry veterans who teach real-world procedures, safety practices, and troubleshooting approaches used on active job sites. You’ll complete training scenarios that mirror actual installations and service calls, so you leave confident and ready to perform on day one.

What Makes PGI Different?

PGI isn’t a traditional trade school — it’s a direct path into a skilled career. Our programs are built with one goal in mind: preparing you to succeed in the power generation industry as quickly, confidently, and effectively as possible. Here’s what sets us apart:

Accelerated 8-Week Training — Not 2 Years in a Classroom

Why spend years earning a credential when you can start your career in weeks?
PGI’s Field Service Technician program is designed to get motivated students into the workforce faster, without sacrificing the depth or quality of your training.

Earn While You Train — Not the Other Way Around

Instead of taking on student debt or paying expensive tuition, PGI students get paid to train. Our model allows you to build skills and financial stability at the same time, making career training accessible to more people.

Hands-On Learning With Real Equipment

Every day is a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on work that mirrors what you’ll see on the job. We train the way the industry works:

  • Live, in-field generators

  • Real service scenarios

  • Practical problem-solving

Professional Skills That Employers Actually Value

Technicians don’t just repair equipment — they interact with customers, coordinate with teams, and represent their employer in the field.
PGI builds these “soft skills” into the program, including:

  • Communication and customer interaction

  • Professionalism and work habits

  • Time management and field readiness

These are often the difference between a good tech and a great one - and they accelerate your long-term career growth.

Employer Connections & Job Placement Support

From day one, PGI prepares you for employment. Students benefit from our network of hiring partners across the industry, including companies actively searching for trained technicians. We help bridge the gap from student to professional by offering:

  • Job placement assistance

  • Interview preparation

  • Resume guidance

  • Direct connections to employers
